Uphill Youth Program
Are you looking for an alternative to traditional youth camp? Summer is a great time for recreation, healthy, delicious food, and rest. How about practical experience mixed with fun and fellowship? Would you like to meet new people while developing meaningful friendships as you work as a team for a common purpose?
Be challenged at Cherokee Cove to grow in your faith as you learn the truths of the Word. Be trained as a reliable and hard worker. Learn and practice purity as we study biblical principles about wholesome living and character. Practice survival and wilderness training onsite and on adventures in the Cherokee National Forest next door. Learn and practice valuable life skills such as culinary arts, construction, hospitality, photography, landscaping, and more. Learn & practice evangelism as we share the Gospel with others through local outreach. Practice being unplugged from the rest of the world while enjoying fresh mountain air and wholesome fellowship.
We will challenge and encourage youth in their personal walk with the Lord through wholesome fellowship, Bible studies, meaningful discussions, worship, games, and onsite service opportunities where useful skills are learned and practiced. If you or your teen is interested in these types of opportunities, then Uphill Youth at Cherokee Cove is right for you!
Cherokee Cove is a place where training can be quite “entertaining!” At Cherokee Cove, we have observed that our present culture is so “entertainment focused” that there remains a great need to “Be still and know that I am (He is) God.” Psalm 46:10.
At Cherokee Cove folks can take time to step back, be in the midst of God’s beautiful creation, develop meaningful friendships through healthy communication, use and learn valuable talents and skills, all while cultivating a servants heart for Christ. Above all, we practice sharing His love with everyone we encounter.
