About Cherokee Cove

Cherokee Cove Christian Retreat and Training Center is located within approximately 200 private acres in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee, bordering the Cherokee National Forest, and is the home of Uphill Ministries, a non-profit Christian organization.

This is the perfect place for your men’s, women’s, or youth retreat, family reunion, day conference, or private get-away! We specialize in healthy, yet extremely satisfying cuisine. Our in-house chefs will prepare the most delicious food that you have ever had within a camp/conference setting, our Nutritionist can ensure that your specific dietary needs and restrictions will be met, and the staff welcomes you and looks forward to the opportunity to serve you!

Offering numerous hiking trails and quiet places to relax in natural settings, Cherokee Cove causes you to reflect on God’s creation. Our facilities were designed to meet the specific needs of couples and families who want to retreat from daily life. Our hope is that your retreat with us will truly be a blessing to you and your family or group.

Cherokee Cove is open from April to November each year. We are still working in the office and on the grounds during our “off months” so give us a call if you would like to book a visit when we are open for guests. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have that will consequently allow us to be as accommodating as possible. We look forward to hearing from you.

Serving you in Christ,
The staff at Cherokee Cove

Our Purpose

The Purpose of Cherokee Cove is to provide a quiet, peaceful place where you, your family, or your group can come for a get-away.  In order to promote peace and rest, we do not have public internet or televisions with cable or satellite.  Cell coverage is limited as well.  We consider this a blessing in today’s world where technology is oftentimes a distraction to healthy communication.
